I am.  Susan Webb.  Daughter of a King, daughter of Linda, granddaughter of Patricia & Laura, great granddaughter of Louie & Erma.  I was born in Atwater CA land of the Yokuts, and reside in Mariposa CA land of the Miwoks.

I am a Mother, trauma-informed coach, yoga teacher, retreat leader, and community builder, and the founder of Rising Rooted.

I am on a lifelong journey of self discovery and it is my mission to serve others and guide them down their unique paths of healing, growth, and faith.

Seeking.  searching.  for something.  for someone to save me.

I did all the trainings.

I got certified in all the things.

Hired the best coaches.. And worst.

I saw the healers.

I travaled to find freedom and peace 

(which only resulted in debt and the end of a friendship)

Then one night that was no different from any other I had the most terrifying expirence.  While laying in my bed I felt a thick heavy darkness looming over me as I lay in a paralyzed state.

This darkness that overcame me was shouting in my mind ugly lies about myself and family. 

I felt my body sinking deeper and deeper as I was being consumed by these lies.

Terrified, I was only able to speak one word.  

A name.  

Jesus.

The dark ugly voice speaking lies over me got louder and louder... 

But in the background I heard the faintest whisper that said "Get up" - and then again - "Get up" ... and so I did, I stood straight up and got out of my bed, and just as quickly as that darkness came it was gone. 

That day was pivotal.  I realized in all my effort of seeking I wandered off course and God was just waiting for me to call His name.

From that experience is also how the name Rising Rooted was born.  In order to rise we have to be rooted and for me that is establishing deep well-watered roots in my faith and authenticity even when it's not the cool or popular thing to do.

You see once upon a time, it was a big NO-NO to mix God and business and I am here to change that!

Fast forward to the present, I am still a seeker, but not of worldly things, but that of the Kingdom of God first.  

While I wholeheartedly believe in healing our traumas, mindset work, and many other healing tools.  It's vital to remember these are just tools that are never to be replaced by prayer and developing a relationship with our creator.

I share this story with you because it's my heartfelt prayer to share my truths and be as open and honest as I can about my journey.  

I believe when we place God first as our foundation, we can see him working through ALL circumstances and events for our good, healing, and growth. 

So whether you are just beginning to seek out God or you have been a Christian for years, we should never stop seeking to know God better!
